Re: 1949 plymouth special deluxe questions

I found a working one in an old Chrysler product in a scrap yard. Not a hard swap. If memory serves it is 1/4 turn ring to remove and reinstall. Are you wanting to change to a 12V sending unit? If so I would guess there would be a resistor involved.

Re: fuel pump

An electric pump should be available. 6 or 12 volt depending on your cars voltage.
If you get a negative ground pump the case will have to be isolated from the frame.
May make temporary fix.
I bought 3, 12 V Neg Ground low pressure pumps off Ebay a while back for $6 each,

Lucille found a new home yesterday, the young man who logged our woods bought her for his father. Should have seen him with his test drive with the "three on the tree"!  Only 15 miles or so away which is good. Grandkids don't know yet and for them I feel bad. We spent some GREAT times thi...

A 6 volt positive ground alternator and bracket are cheap and an easy swap!

Re: oil pressure gone crazy

If the numbers are accurate there is a chance there are deeper issues but I would guess there is a block in the capilary or a faulty gauge
