Good

Just came back from the barn where Lucille sleeps. I pumped the gas a couple times and she started right up, idled ssssmooth and gave me joy. I walked around the ole girl and said out loud "it is amazing how good you look for you age". Maybe my pretty 52 year old wife would have taken offense but Lu...

Brake shoes

Went for a ride a couple weeks ago and had a brake hanging up. I hit the brakes a couple times hard and in cured the hanging but made the pedal bounce hard when applied. Turns out the linings fell off both shoes on the right front side! Maybe 50 year old shoes with a glued lining finally gave up! An...

Re: Jack handle

I must not have the original jack Johnny as the one I have a jack that will only accept a flat handle.

Jack handle

I assume Lucille has a factory bumper jack but there is no handle. It appears from looking at the jack that the handle will be a flat piece of steel.
Anyone know for sure, have one for sale or a picture so I can fabricate one?

Thanks!

Re: Dying

4-5 1/2 lbs. at carb- pressure
5-6 oz. fuel, line disconnected at carb into catch can with 15 fuel pump strokes= 30 rotations of motor (cam turns at 1/2 speed of crank). Fuel volume.

Fairly easy to test.

LOL! I should have looked at posts better!
