Each time I log on to checkthe message board the last thing I do is to to look at the current number of members on this site. It is steadily growing. I believe it may be close to double since I joiined. From my experience P18 people are some of the coolest and most helpful in the auto world. We will be over 100 soon.

I have enjoyed watching the number of members rise as well. The message board has done very well especially since the web site has been up for just a little over a year. I sent out an email to all registered members to see if anyone wanted to be removed, I only received one reply for removal!

So now it's 106. I think there are quite a few P18 fans out there. And, it seems like interest is growing. I keep seeing some pretty nice 49's come and go on eBay.

Hello all,

What a great site. I just put money down on a 49 special delux. All origonal, great shape, real solid. I can't wait to get it home and start wrenching on it. Driving as well.

I have enjoyed reading some history on the vehicle. I look forward to learning more about the car as I go. I will become a regular here I am sure. Its in my favorites allready!! LOL

Josh,

Welcome to the site. You are correct that there is a lot of information here. Glad you found a 49 that fits your style. Old Mopars can really be fun. Not a lot of folks messing around with them so that in itself makes them a lot more fun than most. Enjoy

Well, I'm not sure how active everyone is with their cars but the list is now at 250. It would be great to get a little inform from some of the list participants who have a car but haven't posted yet. Can you tell us a little about your car?

294 members as of Sept 8, 2008 with 44 active during 2008 so far. I think the 294 is with most of the spammers deleted too!

From 91 to 467. I can't believe I wrote the first post 6 years ago. That's a pretty impressive number for a one year production of a 60 year old car that doesn't have the kind of following like that of Ford. It's a very soul satisfying kind of car and I wouldn't trade for a fleet of Fords.

Are the 467 owners? Do most of them have 49's? What wrong with them? Just kidding. This BB has been great! The Info has saved me a lot of time and headaches. The only problem is now I have located more stuff to spend money on. But.... my car is loving it!

Hard to say that all 467 plus have '49s but they have some hook to 49's at least. As you can see only a handful or so have posted. But ... I suspect everyone has questions.

I'm sure we can answer most of what troubles you about your car. Or help figure it out. You always need to be buying more parts you know. Can't have too many .... !! :-)
