It would be to much to try to ship and even though I have friends there I am not sure I can get it shipped as most of the are in the Salida area.
What kind a price are you asking.
Thanks for getting back to me.

Not sure it would work .... its out of a Club Coupe and not a business coupe SO .... I'm not sure its the same. I don't have my cross-reference book with me at the moment. Cost is negotiable ... prefer not to have to ship it though.

John
My Ply. parts books shows all models use the same tank EXcept the various wagon models. Same # for 1950
models.

From there it's all up to the two of you!

Best to ya,

Doug

I have time on my side as far as needing it because my car is in piece's and the tank is down the road, so if there is a way to get it I will.

We are 1000 miles apart but I will not give up but I can't afford to come get it myself but can't rule that out ether.

So if not in a great hurry let me see what I Can Do.

Again Thinks for the chance.

I think one possibility is a transfer via Salida connections .... I have friends there as well so it may well be possible to get the appropriate folks connected over time.

Hey John does the tank still have a strong smell to it.

I am thinking of shipping it by UPS, USPS, or even Greyhound that is if you are willing to ship it to me by one of these Method's.

I will check on the price, I kind a think the weight would be 20LBs.

So I will need to know your price on the tank.

Depending on the price it may be to much money at this time but I want to try.

I will need your address how ever you want to do that I will give you my phone number (913-302-6498) Bud is the name.

if all this is good then when all the numbers are in we can Get Er Done.

Thanks again John

Bud, no it doesn't have any gas smell. It's been empty for a long time so that will not be an issue. And ... its possible I can ship it via Greyhound as I've done that before and its the cheapest. I sent two front doors from a 49 to a suburb just outside Washington D.C. ... won't do that again but it worked fine. PLUS, I'm sorta stuck in Iowa at the moment (from a car lovers point of view) attending to my 86 year old father who broke eight ribs in a fall on ice in mid January. Trying to get him back up and on his feet again and playing in his garden. So far he's up and doing some short walking in a walker but still a long ways from the garden. So .... its possible I won't like be back in Colorado for some time to come .... maybe a few months. But we will be making a run back there fairly soon and if I hook onto my utility trailer like I want to I'll have room to grab it and haul it back here and prep it for shipping. OR ... I can wait and send it out of Fort Collins when I'm back there with enough time to complete the task. That's my complication.

I'd take $75 plus you pay shipping. I'd guess that would make your cost about $125 total plus or minus. The tank appears to me to be quite good. It has some internal rust as they all do but should clean up nicely. I did sell one to a fellow in Illinois earlier for more than that but I hand delivered it and it was a cleaner tank I believe. Not to say this one isn't fine ... the other one was just cleaner it seemed to me.

So ... for purposes of figuring shipping .... consider that it will likely come from Fort Collins, Colorado 80521. We still have a bus depot there.

John

Sounds good to me, and to know I have a good tank located means a lot to me.
Your main goal is your Dad and the tank can just sit for now.
The price is fine and we can work out the details down the road.
Iowa is a cold snowy place this time of year like is most the Midwest, I am from KC just moved out here two years ago.
We have great friends in Carol Iowa but they to live in Colorado, they bought a town called the Old Cow Town look it up on line.
Again Thanks and take good care of your Dad ribs takes a while to heal.
Bud

I asked the mail office about sending it that way and they said if there has been no gas in it for a while and no gas smell then we can take it, when we get ready to ship it we will look at Greyhound as we have a station here in Yuma or USPS, what ever the best price and easiest way.
I though about giving it to friends and I think its best done though us.

Thanks John
I pray your Dad is on the mend.
