2008-08-22 - Shock Relocation - The Shocks

Post by Specialdeluxe » Sat Aug 23rd, 2008 10:58

I'm at the garage right now working on the Plymouth. I have the front all mocked up and I'm working on the shock relocation. I have the kit that was included with the Fatman dropped uprights. I had some trouble locating the suggested Monroe shocks but found some that are the same specs. I noticed that the sleeves were two different sizes. The top is 5/8 and the bottom is 12mm. The kit came with 4 shock bolt kits that were all 5/8. Here's what I did.

You mean that you used the same shocks as I did? That should still work o.k., these just allow for longer travel.

i dont know if i used the exact shock...i think i used the heavier duty version...but the specs of the operating range were nearly identical....so they should be fine
