1903: J.D.Maxwell leaves Northern and goes to work for the Briscoe brothers, Detroit sheet metal contractors, most noted for the sheet metal garbage can. The Briscoes built thermo-syphon colling systems for Oldsmobile and provided the early backing for David Dunbar Buick.
